Für den Straßenverkehr sind solche Linsen ebenfalls ungeeignet: Die Pupillenöffnung weist meist nur einen Durchmesser von etwa fünf Millimetern auf, in der Dämmerung oder Dunkelheit weitet sich die menschliche Pupille jedoch auf bis zu acht Millimeter. Das Gesichtsfeld und damit die seitliche Wahrnehmung können somit eingeschränkt werden.
